I would add to HDYHAU... why did you take the call today? Because the how is one side/the why is whole other one. If you could tap into both, that's where you can get more deals to come in! Also this is the thing I'm most passionate about-- and one of the reasons why I'm building upside.tech
To say attribution should be scaled down is like saying we should separate results from strategy. In my opinion, results matter just as much as the concept of the campaign or strategy behind an objective. If anything we need to over encourage attribution, because if marketers genuinely consider the tight spot they’ll be in during MPRs maybe they’d stop creating sore strategies & think more? 🤷🏾♀️.. who knows
- I am an aspiring product manager doing independent research on the Substack writer experience — specifically around how writers track growth, understand their audience and think about converting free subscribers to paid.
- This is not affiliated with Substack. No selling, no agenda, purely research. I'll be sharing what I find back with this community once the research is done.
- Who I'm looking for: Writers at any stage — whether you have 10 subscribers or 50,000, whether you monetise or not. All stages are useful.
What it involves: A 3-minute anonymous survey — 20 questions, mostly multiple choice.

Yeah I love this. It does lean a little more into proposition validation but it’s still good insight knowing what made them pull the trigger.
Hey Tom. I have been following you on Substack.
I am a student and I am researching on substack. Would you be interested to spare 10 min of your time, to improve substack?
